Hi, I'm Rosamaria Lopez, a bilingual (English/Spanish) Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over six years of experience providing mental health support to children, teens, adults, and families.
As a first-generation daughter navigating cultural expectations and achievement pressures, I understand the complexity of balancing identity, family roles, personal growth, and building a life that feels authentic to you. My work is rooted in the belief that the ways we learned to protect ourselves in childhood often shape how we love, communicate, and respond in adulthood. My own journey, including my personal experience with therapy services, deeply influences how I engage with my clients: with patience, warmth, and genuine care.
My background includes experience in hospital, outpatient, residential, and community mental health settings, shaping a trauma-informed and collaborative approach. I believe that therapy should feel safe, empowering, and grounded in both compassion and accountability.
I earned my bachelor's degree from Fresno Pacific University and my Master of Social Work from Fordham University. I am currently continuing my education as a Doctorate in Social Work candidate. My doctoral training informs my work with first-generation individuals navigating academic and life challenges. I understand firsthand how overwhelming it can feel to move through spaces that weren’t built with you in mind. Whether you're navigating issues of identity, imposter syndrome, academic or professional pressure, or simply feeling overwhelmed, you don't have to figure it out alone.
